oooooh First a big welcome to any new visitors to the site – this is the home of singer songwriter John James Newman.

As you may well know John is a young man of quite considerable talent, and these web pages will guide you through the work of quite possibly England’s next great songwriter.

The Velvet Hearts - Album now available!!

During 2006/7 John worked with several very talented musicians who have now come together to form a new band - The Velvet Hearts. They play new versions of the best of John's back catalogue as well as brand new material written since the band have formed.

There's more information about the band in the News section and from now on the gigs that appear listed here will all be The Velvet Hearts gigs, so get out to see them soon.

There is still a large amount of John's solo material available in the Media section, over 45 minutes of tunes, and as soon as The Velvet Heart sessions are finished we will make these available to you too!
